From the winner of Outdoor Channel’s For Love or Likes and NBC’s The Voice champion, the reflective new ballad brings storytelling destined to win over country fans nationwide
Nashville, TN — Country artist, avid outdoorswoman and South Carolina native, Becca Bowen releases her emotionally charged new duet, “Sometimes I Do,” today, January 16, 2026, featuring Jake Hoot, the Season 17 winner of NBC’s The Voice. The reflective ballad captures the lingering echoes of a love that may be gone, but never fully forgotten. Written by Bowen alongside GRAMMY-nominated songwriter and longtime producer Sal Oliveri (Chris Stapleton, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney), “Sometimes I Do” leans into timeless country storytelling, pairing tender lyricism with a slow-burn melody that allows both voices to shine.
“I feel truly blessed to have worked with Jake Hoot on ‘Sometimes I Do,’” Bowen shares. “His vocals are incredible and I knew working together on this duet would bring the song to life. It’s a powerful song about a love lost but not forgotten. When writing ‘Sometimes I Do’ I thought of the many people that will be able to relate to this song.”
Hoot adds, “The first time Becca let me hear ‘Sometimes I Do,’ I instantly fell in love with it. The writing, the melody — everything about the song just felt right. I’m incredibly honored to be duetting it with a true vocal powerhouse like Becca, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”
Becca and Jake have successfully collaborated before, when last year, Bowen expanded her artistry by taking on a lead role in the original musical Theophany alongside The Voice Season 17 winner Jake Hoot. Bowen continues to build momentum with features on Spotify’s New Country and Apple Music’s New Country playlists and bounds of praise from outlets like People Country, CMT, Perez Hilton, and Whiskey Riff, underscoring her credibility as one of country’s most relatable and exciting rising stars.
A natural entertainer and a dynamic live performer, she has headlined shows and festivals across the U.S., opened for Colt Ford, and performed at Nashville’s beloved Whiskey Jam. She also continues to guest star in the live production of Chuck Wicks’ Shiners and has taken the stage at Bridgestone Arena twice—first during the Nashville Predators pre-season home opener, and later for the Music City Showdown, where she showcased originals like “Tangled In Your Love” and “Heartbreaking Business.” Follow Becca here to be the first to know when new shows are announced.
